Despite the clearly established stinginess of their ancestors from Liguria, people from Laglio have always been generous and the ones who owned more had always helped the ones who owned less. Chronicles tell about legacies and bequests from generation to generation for years and years. One of these legacies has become famous because the donor is none other than Queen Teodolinda.

It appears in the papers as “Good Friday’s legacy”: on Good Friday morning people who walked on the public street of Laglio, within an hour from sunrise would receive about six hundred grams of bread provided they weren’t from Laglio and Moltrasio. After the time had expired what was left of the donation was given to the inhabitant.
